Job Summary:
As the Warehouse Manager at Farmers Poultry Supply, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and yard in Cullman, AL. You will be responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory management, supervising warehouse personnel, maintaining an organized and safe facility, and ensuring all warehouse transactions are accurately processed within our inventory management system. This position requires someone who is equally comfortable leading a team on the warehouse floor and managing the computer operations necessary to maintain accurate inventory and efficient material flow.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, ensuring materials are accurately received and shipped through the company's inventory management system.
- Maintain accurate inventory through organization, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and routine inventory control procedures.
- Process and verify purchase order receipts, transfers, shipments, and other warehouse transactions in the company's ERP system.
- Supervise, train, and support warehouse personnel.
- Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with vendors, customers, and company drivers.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Work closely with purchasing, sales, service, and project management to ensure timely material availability.
- Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience with inventory management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Comfortable using computers and ERP or inventory management software to process inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Ability to operate a forklift (or willingness to become certified).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
- Ability to adapt and manage change.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time position based in Cullman, AL. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
