Account Manager/Recruiter – Schaumburg, IL
Base + commission & weekly bonus. Total $60,000-$70,000 first year (approx.).
For more than three decades, Corporate Resources of Illinois has been helping businesses secure the best talent. Our reputation is undeniable, as most of our client base is repeat customers, with many of our clients using us exclusively. Our goal will always be to exceed expectations, whether it’s our business partnerships or our relationships with candidates. We save businesses time, money, and frustration.
Our field of expertise has grown in the last 10 years, but our roots remain in the placement of office support personnel. We have expanded on that core success by branching out to fill new/higher level roles after being asked by our clients to aid in more unique, higher-level positions. Today, many of our recruiters focus on management level positions, higher-level fills whether in marketing, accounting, customer service, human resources, supply chain, sales and similar.
Our recruiters, once established, make their own decisions on the openings they want to work on, committing to them and to our clients to secure top talent. Some of us work in the office and some of us at home, enjoying the freedom and the income that can be obtained by those that have proven their work ethic and commitment to Corporate Resources and our clients.
We are currently looking for an Account Manager/Recruiter. We want people who are looking for a career, one that requires one to self-propel. You can be as busy as you want but you should WANT to be busy. This is a bit of an addictive job; many describe it as an opportunity for personal development, disguised as a job. We believe that statement to be true!

- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and client companies through consultative conversations that uncover hiring needs, career goals, and opportunities for successful long-term matches.
- Source, recruit, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates while managing the full recruitment lifecycle from initial contact through offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Conduct outbound business development activities, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and prospecting to generate new client partnerships and expand existing accounts.
- Lead client intake meetings to gain a thorough understanding of position requirements, company culture, and hiring objectives, then present qualified candidates and hiring recommendations.
- Provide exceptional service and consistent communication to both candidates and clients throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive experience for all parties.
- Negotiate offers, salaries, start dates, and service fees while facilitating successful placements and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Coordinate pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screenings, reference checks, and onboarding requirements.
- Manage multiple job openings, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accurate ATS/CRM records and achieving recruiting and sales goals.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage candidates and clients, ask thoughtful questions, and provide consultative guidance throughout the hiring process.
- Naturally curious and resourceful, with strong problem-solving abilities and the desire to understand people, businesses, and the factors that drive successful hiring decisions.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented, with a strong desire to succeed in a performance-driven environment where your efforts directly impact your earning potential.
- Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate changing demands, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
