Position Summary
Stelfast is seeking an experienced, hands-on Branch Manager to lead our Elgin, Illinois location.
This role is responsible for the overall performance of the branch, including sales growth, customer service, daily operations, and team leadership. We are looking for a working manager who will be actively involved with the team, support customers, and help drive new and existing business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop the Elgin branch team.
- Maintain a strong daily presence and stay actively involved in branch operations.
- Work alongside the team to support quoting, order entry, customer inquiries, and follow-up when needed.
- Drive branch sales growth and profitability.
- Review customer activity, open quotes, and sales opportunities with the team.
- Develop existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.
- Support mill business and cross-selling opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Monitor branch performance and hold the team accountable for results.
- Ensure a safe, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of leadership experience in branch management, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or related industry.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
- Strong sales, customer service, and operational skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to assist the team wherever needed.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing sales, margins, inventory, and overall branch performance.
- Fastener or industrial distribution experience is preferred.
