Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support residents with mobility using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other neurodevelopmental disorders.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately.
- Experience in dementia care, memory care, hospice care, or caring for individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks; physical stamina is essential.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings.
- Flexibility to work weekends consistently; a caring attitude combined with reliability makes you an ideal candidate.
