Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Lead Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our restaurant's standards, ensuring that every dish is prepared with precision and care. You will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Our open kitchen concept puts everyone on the line in direct contact with the customers, with everyone interacting and taking orders, preparing food, and ensuring the cleanliness standards of the operation.
Expectations
We are not looking for someone that does not have full availability, and is habitual at calling in for shifts. Please do not apply if you are going to work 2 weeks, and all of a sudden not be available on weekends, or have a reason you can not do the evening shifts. We are very good about being flexible with schedules for people who have a consistent availability on the times they are available, but are not interested in taking anyone on that is not available nights or weekends. This is a family run business, and we run our entire team like a family. We offer competitive pay, and our customers are very generous with our employee tip pool. When everybody does their part, our team is happy and everyone is in the upper scale of what they are able to make working in a kitchen.
Experience
- Previous experience in a culinary role or food preparation within the restaurant industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong customer service skills, and a clean appearance.
