Responsibilities
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment with precision and care.
- Handle textiles and laundry materials safely, adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols at all times.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry loads using push carts or other materials handling tools, ensuring proper garment separation.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of laundry loads while maintaining proper safety procedures.
- Apply appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents while following manufacturer instructions for optimal results.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sanitation of equipment and surrounding spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Assist with customer service by responding to requests for laundry services or special garment care needs promptly and courteously.
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning, laundry, or textile care is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Basic math skills are necessary for measuring detergents, calculating load capacities, and managing inventory.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including proper manual handling techniques and safety protocol adherence.
- Knowledge of garment care machine operation, including industrial dryers and dry cleaning machines, is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during laundry processing tasks.
- Strong attention to sanitation practices and textile cleaning procedures to ensure high-quality results.
- Excellent customer service skills to assist guests or clients with their laundry needs professionally.
