Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bakery Manager to lead our bakery operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a dynamic team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain efficient bakery operations. Your leadership will inspire a positive work environment while driving sales and ensuring the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
Duties
- Lead and supervise bakery staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to foster a motivated and high-performing team.
- Oversee daily bakery operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring product quality standards are met.
- Manage sales transactions using POS systems, handle cashing out procedures, and ensure accurate cash handling and bookkeeping.
- Develop schedules for shift coverage to optimize staffing levels for busy periods while controlling labor costs.
- Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and maximize sales opportunities.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent shortages or overstocking; conduct stock counts and manage purchasing processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bakery environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or food service environments, preferably with supervisory or assistant manager roles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work culture.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and retail math.
- Experience with employee orientation, training & development, scheduling, and performance management.
- Knowledge of merchandising, marketing strategies, purchasing procedures, and store management best practices.
