Medina Creative Accessibility is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team! MCA is a Non-Profit that provides housing and an array of services to adults with Developmental Disabilities. Our RN will have an important role with the overall health, safety and welfare of the clients we provide services to.
The RN will ensure that all clients receive quality care regarding medication administration, application of health-related activities, and oversee general health and safety of our clients. Relevant service areas: Homemaker Personal Care, Adult Day Service, and Vocational Habilitation Service. All with the flexibility of a part-time role!
Duties include:
- Remain up to date and ensure organizational compliance on relevant policies, procedures, rules / regulations, including the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), Ohio Department of Health (ODH), and Department of Medicaid (DOM)
- Maintain database of employee certifications and ensure all are current
- Create / disburse and maintain necessary health-related documentation
- Train applicable employees in topics such as medication administration, health related activities, and individual-specific needs
- Participate in administrative seminars to keep ongoing knowledge of rules and regulations
- Ensure all medical appointments are attended, follow up to ensure that all documentation is received and sent to Compliance Department
- Develop scheduled visits with sites that receive medication administration to confirm proper medication administration and documentation practices.
Requirements:
- Valid, current RN License
- Know and understand DODD rules and regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Obtain CEUs as needed to have/maintain the RN: Train the Trainer Certification.
- Pass background check and industry regulated registry checks.
