We are hiring instructors who can take control of a classroom and lead it with structure.
This position teaches step-by-step drawing lessons to elementary students using a pre-designed curriculum. There is no lesson planning, but there is a strong expectation of classroom management, pacing, and leadership.
If you are not comfortable being the authority in a room of 10–25 students, this role will not be a fit.
What You’ll Do
- Lead classes independently in elementary schools
- Maintain clear control, attention, and behavior standards
- Execute structured lessons on a fixed schedule
- Manage transitions, materials, and student engagement
- Represent the program professionally with school staff
Non-Negotiables
- You can get and keep a class quiet, focused, and on task
- You are consistently on time and dependable
- You are comfortable correcting behavior directly and immediately
- You follow a structured curriculum without deviation
Required Experience
- Experience leading groups of children (teaching, coaching, camps, etc.)
- Demonstrated classroom or group management ability
- Strong verbal presence and confidence
Preferred
- Classroom teaching experience (not just assisting)
- Background in art or education
Schedule
- Weekday afternoons (after school)
- Consistent weekly availability required
