Toyoda Gosei North America Corporation (TGNA) has an opening for a Cost Planning Specialist in the Cost Management department. The Cost Planning Specialist is responsible for contributing to standard rate development and cost monitoring for Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA), and TGNA Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares, records, analyze and reports on the cost of producing the organization's products and services
- Create and manage the stage schedule for each design change
- Prepare and lead cross-functional Kick-off Meetings so all departments understand their responsibilities
- Create and manage the part list as the design/information changes for each program
- Conduct variance analysis due to changes in design/process to benchmark for future activity
- Work with Engineering team to develop cost reduction ideas
- Complete the presentation materials that will be presented to the Executives
- Provide supporting documents/analysis to Management in preparation for the Global Conference
- Complete RFQ’s for various AMC’s as assigned in the RFQ tracker
- Manage RFQ’s and support NAMC’s with costing parts and leading cost walks (cost/sales review)
- Complete ROI’s for NAMC’s and sales for new investments
- Travel to various NAMC’s to support cost/sales review
- Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are crucial to individual success
- Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (kaizen)
- This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Certifications and Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field, or equivalent years of experience is required
Experience
- 1 to 4 Years of experience in accounting, finance, or costing experience are required
