Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized and attractive store layout.
- Conduct product demos when needed to educate customers about new or featured items.
- Upsell products by recommending additional items that enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone.
- Support store operations through basic retail math, inventory management, and cashiering duties.
- Supervise or assist fellow team members during busy periods to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks.
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, or retail sales enhances your fit for this role.
