About Our Practice
LA Prosthetic Dentistry is a referral-based prosthodontic practice dedicated to comprehensive restorative care, implant dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, and long-term patient relationships. We provide highly individualized treatment in a calm, organized, and quality-focused environment.
We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to help establish and grow our hygiene department. This position is ideal for a hygienist looking for a consistent part-time opportunity in a specialty practice that values quality over volume.
Schedule
- Approximately 1–2 clinical days per month initially
- Consistent schedule preferred (same days each month)
- Flexible scheduling options available

Responsibilities
- Perform adult prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing as indicated
- Complete periodontal charting and documentation
- Take diagnostic radiographs when appropriate
- Educate patients regarding periodontal health, implant maintenance, and home care
- Maintain implant-supported restorations and full-arch prostheses
- Document clinical findings accurately and thoroughly
- Follow established infection control and sterilization protocols
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the doctor and team
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Preferred Experience
- Implant maintenance experience
- Periodontal therapy experience
- Experience in a specialty or restorative practice
- Familiarity with digital charting systems
