Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Korean-style fried chicken and other menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, breading, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sanitizing work surfaces and equipment regularly
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to safety regulations
- Support menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily operations
- Serve food efficiently during busy hours while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety and sanitation practices, is essential
- Culinary experience with knife skills, meal preparation, and cooking techniques will help you excel in this role
- Familiarity with catering or large-scale food handling is a plus
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food handling procedures, and serving standards is desirable
