What is our Mission?
We are redefining the culture of contractor-work to one of integrity, professionalism and opportunity for everyone who works with us. Right now the construction industry sucks, and everyone knows it. Contractors are unreliable, untrustworthy, and have little or no integrity. Opportunity in the trades is like trying to find Waldo in a sea of barbershop quartets and American flags. We’re changing that.
We operate with integrity. That means we won’t quit; on our customers, on you, or on each other. You’ll be able to have pride in your work because we take quality seriously too. If this position is a great fit for you, awesome! We want someone who fits well, but if it isn't a great fit, we aren't going to try to force it. After all, life is short and we want you to be happy too.
Sometimes you’re going to make mistakes here. That’s okay. Learn from them and we’ll grow together as a team! Your team will have your back, and you can have theirs without having to worry about constant CYA.
We learn through breakdowns. Sometimes customers may be unhappy. We will assess every situation from a point of curiosity and accountability to figure out what it will take to fix it and not make the same mistakes over and over again.
We are committed to your success. We have ongoing Safety and Painting training, Workshops and Leadership calls that will help you grow as a painter as well as a leader in both your personal and professional life. Naturally as your leadership skills develop, increased opportunities within the company will also present themselves!
What is the job?
We’ll talk more about it down the line in the process if you’re selected, but here is a little about the position:
- In-home customer service with homeowners that have hired us to take care of their biggest investment. (Their Home!)
- Painting using the highest quality materials on the market. We don’t use the cheap stuff.
- 90% of your time is spent preparing surfaces for paint, staging areas for paint, cleaning up areas after painting, and of course, Painting!
- 10% of your time is spent on team building, meetings, training, and offsite duties.
- Heavily focused on personal and professional training & development including Craftsman training opportunities
- Training is a never ending focus
This might be a good fit for you if:
- You Genuinely care about your community, customers, and team members, and love interacting with new people
- You are an optimist and have a positive attitude
- You thrive in a fast paced setting
- You are very focused on personal training and development and investing in yourself
- You are very driven, motivated, and ambitious. A “Go-getter”.
- You have an outstanding track record of results
- You are coachable and able to take constructive criticism in stride
This is a full time position. The Painter is the person accountable for providing customers with top notch customer service while maintaining top of the line attention to detail, and a fast pace. Quality and customer service are the minimum barrier to entry, but if you are passionate about your work, you can see large paychecks and fast opportunities for growth. Most work will be done in and around Greenville, SC but this position may require driving to and from areas 1 hour away from Greenville, SC.
Qualifications and Requirements
Professional Residential Repaint experience is preferred but not required. We prefer character over experience, so please don't exaggerate or lie about your experience and please don't list personal painting experience. We want honest people who are a good fit with our team. We have a physical painting test that will help us determine where you are at, so again, please don't exaggerate your experience. It will be obvious if you do.
Proven track record of success
Demonstrates a commitment to customers
Strong communication skills
Strong work ethic, ambitious
Self-motivated and results oriented
Ability to work independently
Technical knowledge of the painting trade, and willingness to learn in a constantly adapting industry

Attention to detail and ability to follow and apply written instruction is an absolute must for the job. Incomplete applications and applicants who do not submit both a resume and cover letter will not be considered. Applicants who only submit a resume without a cover letter will not be considered.
If you are currently working with a local painter or for another painting company in or around Greenville, we can be discreet about communication if necessary. However, we are advocates of respect and we do our best to maintain a positive working relationship with other painting companies in and around the area. We will require that you give proper notice to your current employer if this is the case.
