Position Overview
The Real Estate Senior Project Manager serves as a key member of the Comprehensive Community Development team, leading residential redevelopment projects from acquisition through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating project planning, budgeting, permitting, construction oversight, compliance, and stakeholder engagement while helping NHS expand and strengthen its redevelopment platform.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, collaborative problem solver, and relationship builder who can manage multiple priorities and successfully navigate dynamic, fast-paced environments.
What You'll Do
Project Development & Execution
- Manage residential redevelopment projects from acquisition through project completion.
- Coordinate project planning, due diligence, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, construction, and project closeout.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Assist with evaluating acquisition opportunities and redevelopment feasibility.
- Support project financing activities and subsidy compliance requirements.
Financial & Operational Oversight
- Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Review invoices, draw requests, change orders, and project expenditures.
- Maintain compliance with funding requirements, grants, and organizational policies.
- Ensure accurate project records and documentation are maintained.
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, lenders, government agencies, community organizations, and residents.
- Coordinate activities among internal teams and external partners.
- Foster collaboration and clear communication among stakeholders.
Community Development
- Support projects that improve housing opportunities and neighborhood conditions.
- Participate in community engagement efforts related to redevelopment activities.
- Promote equitable, responsible development practices.
- Ensure projects align with organizational and community priorities.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Community Development, Business Administration, Construction Management, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–7 years of experience in real estate development, project management, construction management, community development, housing, planning, finance, or a related field.
- Successful completion of background check
- Valid State Issued Identification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success building partnerships and managing relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
