Position Summary
The AI Factory Business Automation Engineer is a critical technical leader responsible for integrating and optimizing building technology within our mission-critical AI Factory facilities. Leveraging deep expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) and advanced communication protocols, you will design and implement scalable telemetry architectures, ensuring seamless data flow from operational systems to digital twin platforms. Your work will be instrumental in defining robust alarm, KPI, and visualization strategies, balancing comprehensive observability with stringent system performance requirements.
You’ll make an impact by
- Applying deep expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS), specifically Siemens Desigo CC, to manage and optimize mission-critical facilities.
- Designing and implementing scalable telemetry architectures for high-volume, high-frequency operational data within complex building systems.
- Integrating BMS with various critical platforms, including PLCs, EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems), DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management), and digital twin environments.
- Ensuring all integrations and data flows adhere to strict latency, bandwidth, and reliability constraints essential for AI Factory operations.
- Defining scalable alarm, Key Performance Indicator (KPI), and visualization strategies that effectively balance comprehensive observability with optimal system performance.
- Utilizing proficiency in communication protocols such as MQTT, REST APIs, OPC UA, BACnet/IP, and Modbus TCP to facilitate robust system interoperability.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency, reliability, and advanced monitoring capabilities of Siemens' AI Factory infrastructure.

- Communication Protocols: Proficiency in MQTT, REST APIs, OPC UA, BACnet/IP, and Modbus TCP.
- Telemetry Architecture Design: Proven ability to design scalable telemetry architectures for high-volume, high-frequency operational data.
- System Integration: Extensive experience integrating BMS with PLCs, EPMS, DCIM, and digital twin platforms.
- Performance Optimization: Ability to meet strict latency, bandwidth, and reliability constraints in integrated systems.
- Data Strategy: Expertise in defining scalable alarm, KPI, and visualization strategies.
- Mission-Critical Environments: Understanding of the unique demands and requirements of mission-critical facilities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation/ Control System Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in building technology, automation, or control systems within mission-critical environments.
- Demonstrated expertise with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Proficiency in at least two of the following protocols: MQTT, REST APIs, OPC UA, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP.
- Experience with designing and implementing data acquisition or telemetry systems.
- Proven ability to integrate diverse industrial or building systems.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise with Siemens Desigo CC.
- Extensive experience with all listed communication protocols: MQTT, REST APIs, OPC UA, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP.
- Demonstrated experience in designing scalable telemetry architectures for high-volume, high-frequency operational data.
- Direct experience integrating BMS with PLCs, EPMS, DCIM, and digital twin platforms.
- Experience in defining and implementing alarm, KPI, and visualization strategies for complex systems.
- Familiarity with digital twin concepts and their application in building management.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25%, for up to a week at a time (adjust travel as needed based on actual expectations).

The pay range for this position is $109,670 - $222,034 annually with a target incentive of 15% annually. Actual offer may be lower or higher depending on selected professionals.
