The Chore/Home Repair worker performs household maintenance tasks, minor home repairs and renovation work for the safety of the individual, to maintain a minimum level of conformity with neghborhood standards and to prevent property deterioration. The Chore/Home Repair worker may be called upon to do any or all of the following:
1. Installing shades and curatin rods.
2. Shampooing and tacking down rugs.
3. Washing walls and windows, scrubbing floors.
4. Cleaning attics and basements to remove fire and health hazards.
5. Cutting grass and trimming overhanging branches.
6. Clearing walkways of snow and leaves.
7. Cleaning out gutters and downspouts.
8. performing minor home repairs related to: carpentry, plumbing and electcrical.
9. Renovation work.
10. Building and installing barrier-free requirements, i.e. ramps, bahtroom grab bars, etc.
11. May be asked to assume resopnsibiltiies or Chore/Home Repair Forman's positions with appropriate compensation.
Good knowledge of carpetnry, plumbing, and electrical. Ability to follow orders and work well with others. Empathy for seniors.
