Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized workspace
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers and concrete pumps to facilitate various tasks
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to achieve precise specifications
- Install rebar, metal stud framing, masonry elements, and perform stucco or plastering work as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to execute tasks accurately
- Carry out demolition, renovation, restoration, roofing, and flooring installation projects with attention to detail
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper handling of tools and materials for heavy lifting and hazardous tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes are highly desirable
- Ability to interpret blueprint specifications and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, concrete cutters, and other relevant equipment
- Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, and masonry work
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Experience with metal stud framing, tile laying, flooring installation, caulking, roofing, plastering or stucco is a plus
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
