Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning tailored to infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive toddler care by ensuring safety, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort at all times
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and consistency
- Utilize behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and address challenging behaviors effectively
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and special education accommodations when needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools
- Knowledge of child development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Understanding of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood welfare is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Experience with classroom experience involving standardized testing or assessments is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to early childhood education principles including preschool teaching methods and physical education activities

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
