Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (PT) to lead a growing hospital-based rehabilitation department in Oklahoma. This position will oversee inpatient rehabilitation services while playing a key role in the strategic development and expansion of outpatient therapy programs. The ideal candidate is a licensed Physical Therapist with strong clinical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for program development and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for all rehabilitation services within the hospital setting.

Supervise, mentor, and support rehabilitation staff, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and therapy support personnel.

Manage departmental operations, staffing, scheduling, productivity standards, and performance metrics.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services for inpatient populations, including post-surgical, orthopedic, neurological, and medically complex patients.

Lead the planning, development, and implementation of outpatient rehabilitation services as the program expands.

Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, hospital administration, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Monitor clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and departmental performance indicators.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, state regulations, and federal requirements.

Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals.

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and performance evaluations.

Maintain accurate departmental reporting, budgeting, and regulatory documentation.

Provide direct patient care as needed within the scope of licensure.
Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program.

Current and unrestricted Oklahoma Physical Therapist License or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.

Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or outpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.

Previous rehabilitation management, supervisory, or leadership experience strongly preferred.

Experience with program development, operational management, and interdisciplinary collaboration preferred.

CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Strong communication, organizational, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
