Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting plants, gardening supplies, lawn care products, and outdoor equipment
- Provide expert advice on plant identification, landscape maintenance, floral design, and horticulture techniques
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Maintain attractive displays through merchandising and stocking to enhance the shopping experience
- Support inventory management by organizing stock, conducting stock checks, and replenishing shelves regularly
- Answer customer inquiries via phone communication and in person with clear, friendly guidance
- Assist with outdoor work tasks such as lawn care and landscape maintenance when needed to support team efforts
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or outdoor work environments preferred but not required; enthusiasm for gardening and horticulture is essential
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, plant identification, floral design, and gardening techniques is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and merchandising practices
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain store presentation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform outdoor tasks comfortably in various weather conditions
- Passion for customer service with a proactive attitude to help shoppers find what they need quickly and confidently
