Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Specialty Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across diverse medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine. Your expertise will support clinical operations, ensure accurate documentation, and enhance patient experiences in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status effectively.
- Support clinical procedures by preparing patients for examinations.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) procedures during emergencies and ensure readiness for Level I Trauma Center protocols.
- Manage medical administrative tasks such as ICD coding for diagnoses, updating patient records, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Facilitate patient care by providing education on treatment plans, medication administration, and post-procedure instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in Vascular, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments.
- Demonstrated familiarity with EMR eCW systems and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation.
- Experience supporting inpatient units such as Geriatrics, Vein & Vascular, Cardiologist is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist with complex patient assessments across various specialties including internal medicine and geriatrics.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
