Full job description
We are seeking a FT (4 days per week) Dental Hygienist to join our practice.
Our Hygienists work with our dentists and team to ensure every patient receives the best dental care possible. We strive to exceed expectations and place an emphasis on building long-term relationships with our patients and team.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A passion for excellence in the area of dental hygiene, including the skills necessary to provide both preventative care and to treat periodontal disease effectively. Educate patients and motivate them toward optimal oral health.
Take high-quality, diagnostic radiographs.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Assist in the management of patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Utilize dental software for patient management.
- Conduct vital signs checks and assist with dental imaging as needed.
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Valid PA dental hygiene license.
- Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively.
- Experience with infection control standards and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology.
