We are seeking an energetic and reliable Tour Bus Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting groups of passengers on guided tours, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience. Your enthusiasm, excellent driving skills, and customer service expertise will help create a positive atmosphere for travelers exploring exciting picturesque destinations in Northern California. This paid position offers an opportunity to combine your passion for driving with delivering exceptional service to diverse groups of clients. Most meals and overnight accomodations are provided and drivers are paid 100% of all tips.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate motor coaches along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle’s mechanical systems, including brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels, to ensure optimal safety and performance
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs
- Maintain clear communication with tour coordinators regarding schedule updates or route changes
- Handle minor maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels or reporting mechanical issues promptly
- Uphold customer service standards by addressing passenger questions, concerns, or requests professionally and courteously
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement for bus or motor coach operation
- Three years of proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles with a clean driving record. Tour charter bus expereince preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and basic maintenance procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with passengers and team members
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to bus driving and passenger transport
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading luggage and cargo, and assisting passengers and performing vehicle inspections confidently
- Clean driving record required, must pass a drug and alcohol test and complete background check
