Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Install Foreman / Lead Installer, where you'll lead the installation and service of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects, including system setup, ductwork, piping, electrical connections, and refrigeration components.
- Coordinate daily tasks for installation teams, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
- Interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, electrical diagrams, and building automation systems to execute precise installations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and mechanical systems.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems integral to HVAC/R equipment while maintaining compliance with EPA regulations.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes; conduct site inspections to verify quality control.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain system features, maintenance needs, and answer technical questions professionally.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and building automation systems.
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC/R including system repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration when applicable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic or repair tools effectively.
- Experience with HVAC system installation from start to finish; familiarity with equipment troubleshooting and repair procedures.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices related to HVAC systems; experience working with boilers and air conditioning units preferred.
