Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Professional Painter with 5+ years experience in the industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in residential and commercial painting, with a deep understanding of proper preparation, application techniques, and finishing standards. This role focuses heavily on delivering high-quality paintwork—from interiors and exteriors to restoration projects. While painting is the primary responsibility, experience in related tasks such as drywall repair, surface preparation, and light carpentry is valued. The successful candidate will consistently provide clean, long-lasting finishes and ensure client satisfaction through precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Duties
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, stains, lacquers, sealers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers.
- Match colors and follow project specifications, blueprints, or design plans to achieve accurate and consistent results.
- Perform minor repairs such as drywall patching, texture matching, trim repair, and small carpentry adjustments as needed.
- Set up job sites safely, including scaffolding, ladders, surface protection, and ventilation control.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow proper cleanup procedures at every stage of the job.
- Communicate and coordinate with team members and other trades to ensure smooth project flow and on-time completion.
- Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and industry best practices for professional painting.
Skills
- Extensive hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and exterior painting 5+ years
- Proficient with brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, and various surface-prep tools.
- Strong understanding of color theory, paint types, sheens, and coating systems.
- Skilled in surface prep techniques, including patching, caulking, sanding, texture matching, stucco touch-ups, and minor carpentry.
- Basic math skills for measuring walls, calculating square footage, and estimating materials.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to clean lines, smooth finishes, and quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, or in confined spaces safely.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
