Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219.
Schedule: 10-hour Rotating Day/Evening Shifts | 40 hrs/week
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will operate CT imaging equipment, administer contrast media, ensure patient safety, and produce diagnostic-quality images while collaborating with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (CT) Registered/CT Certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience preferred.
- Experience with Philips CT scanners, Bracco injectors, EPIC, and McKesson PACS preferred.
- Experience performing Cardiac CT, CTA, TAVR, Stroke/Code Stroke, Head, Chest/Abdomen/Pelvis (CAP), Spine, Emergency, Inpatient, and Outpatient CT examinations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, sterile technique, patient positioning, contrast administration, and radiation safety.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations according to established imaging protocols and physician orders.
- Review patient history, verify orders, assess allergies, and explain procedures to patients.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer IV contrast media using proper venipuncture techniques and monitor patients throughout procedures.
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Perform image archiving and documentation using PACS and electronic medical record systems.
- Assist physicians during CT-guided and other invasive procedures as needed.
- Start IVs, prepare patients for imaging studies, and assist other imaging modalities when required.
- Utilize appropriate radiation dose reduction techniques while maintaining image quality.
- Maintain equipment, ensure quality control, and comply with infection prevention and safety protocols.
