Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely according to established safety protocols and procedures
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain high standards of sanitation and floor care
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas with attention to sanitation standards
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or repairing fixtures when needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively
- Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
