## Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in early childhood education and a genuine interest in working with young children. As a Preschool Teacher assistant, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment to facilitate the growth and development of preschool-aged children. This position has flexibility with hours and opportunity to grow. Ideally we would love someone who is inspiring early childhood educator. We are community focused and value the relationships with our families and our teaching team. We are a small center that maintains a 1 to 6 ratio. We are a year round school,, with several Holiday breaks throughout the year. The hours for this position are 8:00 to 1:00 Mon to Friday.
## Responsibilities
- Support teachers with mixed age preschoolers with activities, clean up and other duties as assigned
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a play based/emergent curriculum
- Plan and supervise activities like arts and crafts, music, and storytelling
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
## Requirements
- Be flexible and open to learning our school philosophy .
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or private school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
