Role Description
This is a full-time position for an Assistant Superintendent located in Inlet Beach, FL. The Assistant Superintendent will:
· Schedule construction activities in the field as directed
· Maintain clean jobsites by working with vendors and trades to ensure they are cleaning up/sweeping daily
· Punch houses to achieve a smooth, on-time closing with a happy homeowner
· Adhere to schedules to meet deadlines
· Read and understand purchase orders, and strive to keep costs to budget
· Inspect for quality control through careful oversight of field activities, so the homes built meet company standards and are ready for homeowner orientations/occupancy
· Count materials as delivered to ensure accuracy of invoices
· Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profitability of the company
· Respond to usual warranty requests, and work toward resolution in a short timeframe
Job Requirements and Experience
· Some college or university is preferred, associates or bachelor’s degree is a plus
· Two years of related experience and/or training is a plus
· Some knowledge of home building or commercial construction is required
· Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in oral or written form, or via software applications
· Familiarity with MS Office and Outlook email
Physical Requirements
This job requires the ability to stand and walk for several hours a day, sit for extended periods, kneel and bend at the waist, climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl, walk up and down stairs, and walk on unlevel terrain. It requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
The position will require regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places and other potential jobsite hazards.
