Description:
- 7+ Year of experience with test and certification of Wi-Fi Access Points and controllers.
- Must possess excellent industry knowledge and theoretical understanding of IEEE 802.11 specifications (a/b/g/n/ac/ax,be MIMO, MCS index, 802.11k/v/r).
- Must Experience in WiFi test setups, developing test case, procedures and execution that ensure performance and stability of Wireless products in network ensuring the highest levels of customer and operational satisfaction.
- Extensive hands-on networking experience (802.11 AP’s, Controllers, Cable Gateways, Routers, Switches, etc.) Deep knowledge of Wi-Fi troubleshooting and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) at OTA and backend network using protocol communications test equipment and tools (protocol analyzers, wifi analyzers and packet sniffers to anayze EAP packets, Radius packets, DHCP packets, etc.,) Experience using test automation tools e.g. Spirent/Octobox. Keysight IxChariot, OmniPeak, etc., and scripting skills for automating test cases Proficiency on Wi-Fi controllers Smart Zone/SCG/ZD/WLC (CAPWAP and GRE tunneling knowledge/experience a strong plus) Deep understanding of WLAN Security in the areas of authentication, encryption, RADIUS, AAA authentication, 802.1x/EAP, PSK, etc Deep knowledge of Carrier WIFI network KPI Analysis (SCI/Prime/7Signals/Orchestra AI) Solid understanding on networking protocols, including bridging, routing, TCP/IP, DHCP, ARP, DNS, NATing, etc., Be able to work independently, collaborate with teammates and cross-functional groups, communicate on the level of others, listen and understand people in circumstances common in the workplace.
- Strongly motivated individual willing to learn new technologies and concepts.
Good-to-have but not necessarily requirements:
- Previous experience with Ruckus and/or Cisco APs and wireless controllers.
- Previous experience with backend servers — monitoring servers, wireless management platforms (Ruckus RND, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, etc).
Education:
- Masters/bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
