Position Summary
The Manager, Enterprise Projects leads enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that improve healthcare operations, business systems, provider workflows, and organizational performance. This role serves as the primary liaison between operational departments, executive leadership, technology vendors, and technical development teams to deliver projects that support organizational growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities include enterprise project governance, business process improvement, workflow optimization, business systems implementation, provider performance intelligence, information governance, vendor management, and executive reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and status reports.
- Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate implementation activities across multiple departments and external partners.
Enterprise Project Governance
- Coordinate executive leadership meetings, including agendas, action items, and follow-up.
- Maintain enterprise project portfolios, strategic initiatives, and departmental goals while tracking milestones, risks, and organizational priorities.
- Prepare executive dashboards, scorecards, and project status reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Promote standardized project governance, reporting, and accountability across the organization.
Business Systems & Process Improvement
- Analyze and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and enhance provider and staff experience.
- Gather business requirements and translate operational needs into functional specifications, workflow documentation, and technology solutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve business system performance.
- Lead enterprise document management and information governance initiatives, including document lifecycle, naming standards, collaboration, and user adoption.
Healthcare Business Systems & Data Management
- Design, implement, and improve enterprise business systems, provider intelligence solutions, and workflow technologies supporting Medicare Advantage operations, provider data, and organizational performance.
- Coordinate business requirements, testing, implementation, and data validation with operational teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor data quality and recommend improvements that enhance reporting, workflow efficiency, and operational decision-making.
Provider Performance Intelligence
- Develop and maintain comprehensive provider and practice profiles by integrating operational, quality, risk adjustment, utilization, network, and business data to support provider engagement and value-based care initiatives.
- Partner with Provider Network Operations, Quality, Population Health, Medical Management, Claims, and Analytics to identify provider-specific opportunities, prioritize quality and risk gap closure initiatives, and coordinate performance improvement plans.
- Develop standardized provider scorecards, practice profiles, operational dashboards, and provider documentation that support provider engagement, strategic planning, and executive decision-making.
Provider Workflow & Operational Improvement
- Collaborate with physicians, practice managers, and operational teams to evaluate and improve primary care workflows.
- Support workflow optimization initiatives related to Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs), Risk Adjustment, HEDIS/STAR measures, referrals, care coordination, prior authorization, and provider onboarding.
- Recommend solutions that improve provider efficiency and patient experience.
Vendor & Technical Team Management
- Manage technology vendors and technical development teams, including scope, budgets, deliverables, service levels, and implementation milestones.
- Coordinate solution design, testing, deployment, issue resolution, and ongoing vendor performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operational departments, provider practices, health plans, vendors, and technology teams to support enterprise initiatives and workflow improvements.
- Foster collaboration that advances value-based care, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Five years of healthcare project or business systems experience.
- Medicare Advantage/MSO/IPA/provider operations experience.
- Experience supporting healthcare business systems, healthcare data exchanges, operational data management, workflow optimization, and Medicare Advantage operations.
- Experience leading enterprise projects and managing vendors.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- PMP and value-based care experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare business systems, healthcare data integration, Medicare Advantage operations, provider performance analytics, operational workflows, and business process improvement.
- Ability to analyze business processes and recommend scalable workflow solutions.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with EMR and healthcare technology platforms applications preferred.
