School of Rock East Hartford is looking for a passionate and engaging Keyboard/Piano Instructor to join our growing team of music educators.
Our instructors don't just teach scales and technique—they help students become confident musicians through our unique performance-based approach. Students learn in private lessons, rehearse with bands, and perform live on stage, developing musical skills, teamwork, and confidence along the way.
Whether your background is in rock, pop, jazz, classical, worship, or contemporary music, if you love teaching and inspiring students, we'd love to meet you.
This is an excellent opportunity to start with a smaller teaching schedule and grow into a larger or lead instructor role as our school continues to grow.
What You'll Do
- Teach private keyboard and piano lessons to students of all ages and experience levels
- Help students develop proper technique, music reading, ear training, improvisation, and performance skills
- Prepare students for rehearsals and live performances
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to support our performance-based programs
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with parents and staff
- Create a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment
- Help foster the welcoming, energetic culture that makes School of Rock unique
