Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to identify their unique occupational therapy needs.
- Develop tailored treatment plans that set clear goals and outline specific therapeutic activities to promote recovery and independence.
- Implement evidence-based interventions using a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications.
- Collaborate closely with clients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care strategies and optimal outcomes.
- Monitor progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize effectiveness and client engagement.
- Educate clients on strategies for managing daily activities, improving motor skills, and enhancing overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with organizational standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist with a strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and client-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate clients and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to perform detailed assessments and translate findings into actionable treatment plans.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications to support functional independence.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining meticulous records.
- Compassionate attitude combined with energetic enthusiasm for helping others achieve their goals.
- Relevant licensure or certification as required by local regulatory bodies.
- Establish you own treatment schedule and coordinate directly with patients, families and your other team members.
Qualifications
* Active Florida State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
* Reliable transportation and appropriate vehicle insurance for travel.
* BLS Certified
