Gravitec's Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Project Engineer. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience working in a fast-paced office environment, be proficient at managing multiple projects efficiently and within budget, be familiar with the operation of various power tools and hand tools, be comfortable working, and performing inspections, 'at height'.
Responsibilities:
- Designing engineered fall protection solutions.
- Full cycle project management including oversight of project engineers, drafters, fabricators, and installers; leading team meetings, scheduling all scopes of work from design through installation, and tracking project profitability.
- Act as primary point of contact for clients on projects.
- Preparing structural design calculations.
- Performing analysis of existing systems and structures.
- Reviewing designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements and related specifications.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and training to project engineers.
- Development of hazard assessment surveys.
- Inspection of existing fall protection systems.
- Installation of fall protections systems.
- Includes frequent travel.
Required Skills and Education:
- Minimum of 5 years of related engineering and project management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program, emphasis on structural engineering or construction engineering preferred.
- PE in Washington or ability to attain through comity, SE preferred.
- Strong technical background and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of current industry software including RISA-3D, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Experience designing various construction materials including steel, wood, and concrete.
- OSHA 30 and PMP a plus.
- Previous experience with fall protection a plus, but not required.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
