Columbia Child Development Program is currently hiring multiple temporary Summer Assistant Educators to support our early childhood classrooms and school-age programs beginning June 8. We are seeking caring, energetic, and dependable individuals who enjoy creating positive experiences for children in a fun, supportive environment.

Temporary Summer Employment

Full-Time and Part-Time Hours Available between 7:00am-5:30pm

Start Date: June 8

Opportunities available in infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age classrooms
Assistant Educators work alongside lead teachers to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with classroom activities, play, and learning experiences
-
Supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth

Helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom

Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities
-
Encouraging positive behavior and teamwork
-
Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff
-
Positive attitude and genuine love for working with children

Dependable, patient, and team-oriented
-
Ability to communicate effectively with children and coworkers

Experience with children preferred, but not required

Must meet all required background clearances and employment requirements

Requirements:
For an assistant position-
A high school diploma or a GED certificate and an associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field- Starting rate $14.73/hour
OR a high school diploma or a GED certificate, and 15 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and one year of documented experience with children- Starting rate $13.49/hour
OR a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of documented experience working with children- Starting rate $12.79/hour
For an aide position-
A high school diploma or a GED certificate, some experience working with children- Starting rate $10.57/hour
