Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following proper food safety sanitizing procedures
- Clear and bus tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly, including dishwashers and other small appliances in accordance with safety standards
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas in compliance with kitchen health and safety regulations
- Follow all food safety management protocols to uphold hygiene standards across the restaurant environment
- Assist with catering or banquet setups when required, ensuring timely service delivery
- Support team members during busy service periods by providing reliable bussing and cleaning assistance
Experience
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or prep stations is advantageous
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards, including manual handling and heavy lifting techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knife skills or culinary knowledge can be beneficial but are not required
- Experience supporting catering or banquet events adds value but is not required
