Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations by gathering evidence, writing detailed reports, and recommending preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Coordinate safety training and development sessions for employees on topics such as first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), OSHA compliance, workers' compensation law, and occupational health best practices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to manufacturing processes and waste management.
- Manage workers' compensation claims process in collaboration with HR and legal teams to ensure proper reporting and resolution.
- Maintain accurate safety records, prepare reports for management review, and monitor key performance indicators related to workplace safety.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health principles.
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document incidents thoroughly and clearly.
- Skilled in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues behind safety incidents.
- Effective training & development abilities to educate staff on safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- First aid certification along with CPR training is highly preferred.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments confidently.
