On behalf of our client, a prestigious full-service AmLaw firm, we are conducting a search for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing marketing and business development team.

The Role
This Business Development Manager will partner directly with practice group leaders and partners to develop and execute strategic client development initiatives that drive revenue growth and strengthen relationships across key industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with partners and practice group leaders to develop targeted business development strategies and annual plans
- Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and emerging client needs
- Design and implement sector-specific initiatives aligned with firm priorities
Client Development & Relationship Management
- Support partner-level relationship development through strategic planning, meeting preparation, and follow-up coordination
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across practice groups and facilitate internal introductions
- Track client engagement activities and measure ROI on business development investments
Pitch & Proposal Management
- Lead RFP/pitch response process from initial review through final submission
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop compelling, client-focused proposals
- Maintain proposal content library and best practices repository
Event Strategy & Execution
- Plan and execute client events, sponsorships, seminars, and conferences
- Manage event logistics, budget tracking, and post-event analysis
- Evaluate event effectiveness and make recommendations for future programming
Marketing Communications Support
- Partner with marketing team on thought leadership initiatives, client alerts, and targeted campaigns
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all business development activities
- Contribute to social media strategy and LinkedIn engagement for assigned partners
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development, marketing, or client relationship experience in professional services (law firm experience strongly preferred)
- Proven track record developing and executing successful BD strategies that generate measurable results
- Exceptional project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong business acumen and understanding of legal industry trends, client procurement processes, and law firm economics
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and presentation development
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus

Pay: $168,000.00 - $183,000.00 per year
