Wavenet, a growing OEM importer and distributor of low-voltage communication cables serving distributors across the United States and Canada, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Accounting Supervisor to join our team on a part-time/full-time basis. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records and reporting, and support the company’s financial processes while ensuring strong internal controls and compliance standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Review and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations
- Oversee banking transactions and cash flow activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Monitor accounting procedures and identify areas for process improvement
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding financial matters
- Support audits and provide documentation as needed
- Train and guide accounting staff when necessary
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience required
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Pay: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour
