We are seeking a results-driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to drive growth in our commercial landscaping division. This individual will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new B2B opportunities across property management firms, industrial campuses, healthcare facilities, distribution centers, and other high-value accounts. The Business Development executive collaborates and works with partners including operations, finance, marketing and more to manage responses to bids in an effort to meet sales targets.
Duties and responsibilities
- Proactively prospect, qualify, and develop new commercial accounts within your assigned territory.
- Manage the entire sales cycle: discovery, proposal development, site walks, bidding, and contract closing.
- Build strong, consultative relationships with facility managers, property managers, COOs, and other decision-makers.
- Understand client needs and translate them into tailored service solutions (e.g., landscape maintenance, snow removal, enhancements).
- Collaborate with operations, estimating, and account management teams to ensure smooth transitions post-sale.
- Use CRM software to track pipeline activity, log calls, update notes, and manage follow-ups.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking groups, and trade associations to expand presence and visibility.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of landscaping trends, pricing, and competitors in your market.
- Meet and strive to exceed sales expectations
- Problem solving to help preserve the customer's landscape. Responding on a timely basis.

3–5+ years of B2B sales experience (commercial landscaping, construction, property services, or facility services preferred).
- Proven track record of hunting and closing new business.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with landscaping or exterior services is a plus.
- Self-starter with a high level of organization and discipline.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
