Join our vibrant team as a "Smoothies, Acai Bowls & Pressed Juice" Team Member at our Parkland location. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about healthy food options, customer service, and creating a welcoming café environment. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for preparing delicious smoothies, acai bowls, and pressed juices while providing exceptional service to our customers. This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills in food preparation, sales, and customer interaction will shine.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve smoothies, acai bowls, pressed juices, and other menu items efficiently and accurately.
- Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage food safety standards by following proper food handling and preparation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café workspace, including food prep areas and serving stations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while managing retail math and cashiering duties.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Demonstrate effective time management to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Promote sales by upselling menu items when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, café, or retail environments is preferred, especially barista or coffee experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during shifts.
