The Plan:
- Rivertree Academy Lake Como is an Elementary Day School in Como - an under
resourced community in Fort Worth, Texas. Pre-K through 6th grade students will be
accepted into this program.
Job Summary:
The School Transportation Driver is responsible for transporting students to and from school and
other sites. This individual will follow an assigned route during morning pick up and afternoon
drop off and ensure the safety of all student passengers while in a school vehicle.
This is a part time position with the expected hours of 7:00-8:30am and 5:00-6:30pm, Monday
through Friday. Additional hours available for field trips throughout the school year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but other duties may
be assigned.
To work at Rivertree and maintain a manageable stress load, an individual must be flexible,
teachable, and humble. The qualities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill,
and/or abilities required for our faculty/staff:

1 Drive school vehicles on the prescribed route maintaining strict time schedule; picking
up and discharging students at designated stops.
2 Transport students and teachers on field trips to various locations.
3 Conduct safety and operational inspections; report all issues to Facilities/Operations
Coordinator.
4 Maintain cleanliness of school vehicles; report all issues to Facilities/Operations
Coordinator.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
● Active involvement in local church and demonstration of their Christian faith in their
local community
● High School Diploma or equivalent required
● Ability to pass a background check to work with children
● Current Driver’s License with Motor Vehicle Record reflecting safe driving practices
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND DEMANDS OF JOB
● Occasional medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
● Ascending or descending 15 passenger van.
