The Russ Darrow Group is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Team Lead to support and oversee daily IT operations across our dealership group. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills, leadership abilities, and experience supporting users in a fast-paced, in-person environment.
The IT Team Lead will assist with maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting end users, resolving technical issues, and helping lead IT projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience with networking, hardware, software support, and mentoring team members while delivering excellent customer service to internal employees.
Oversee daily IT operations to ensure systems run smoothly and efficiently across multiple locations
Meet regularly with the Director of IT to discuss system needs, project progress, risks, and resource usage
Delegate tasks, allocate resources, and support team priorities based on business needs and skill sets
Mentor, coach, and motivate IT team members while fostering professional growth and development
Organize and support training opportunities to keep the team updated on technology and best practices
Lead the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure including hardware, software, and networking systems
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including system outages, connectivity problems, and security concerns
Design, install, and configure computer hardware, workstations, and network systems
Train employees on newly installed hardware, software, and IT processes
Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and project-related documentation
Set clear objectives and expectations for team members and assist in driving department goals
Provide in-person technical support and exceptional customer service to dealership employees and leadership
Must be able to travel to our corporate headquarters in Menomonee Falls and all 15 of our locations in the Metro Milwaukee area, West Bend, Madison, and Neenah. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT helpdesk or field technician role with in-person customer support experience preferred

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to hardware, software, and networking systems

Networking experience and certifications preferred, including CompTIA and/or CCNA certifications

Experience supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Experience creating technical documentation and SOPs preferred

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Must be comfortable working fully in-person; this is not a remote role
