Position Overview
As the General Manager of Hotel Indigo Irving-Las Colinas, a full-service IHG hotel, you are the visionary and operational leader of the property—responsible for driving revenue growth, guest satisfaction, team performance, and brand compliance. You’ll lead all departments in delivering True Hospitality for Good while ensuring the hotel is profitable, compliant, and culturally aligned with IHG’s values. You’ll serve as the face of the hotel to guests, employees, ownership, and the community—delivering results and elevating the guest and team experience every day.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Oversee all day-to-day operations, including rooms, food & beverage, finance, HR, engineering, and sales.
- Lead and support department heads to meet performance targets and deliver service excellence.
- Ensure hotel operations are in full compliance with IHG brand standards and local regulations.
- Analyze operational performance and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement.
Financial & Commercial Accountability
- Own the hotel’s P&L, ensuring alignment with budget and business forecasts.
- Collaborate with the revenue management and sales teams to optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Oversee CAPEX planning, cost control initiatives, and expense management.
- Maximize profitability while balancing guest experience and operational efficiency.
Guest Satisfaction & Brand Engagement
- Champion IHG’s culture of True Hospitality by ensuring high guest satisfaction and HeartBeat scores.
- Resolve escalated guest concerns and lead service recovery efforts as needed.
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback through reviews, surveys, and direct communication.
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, mentor, and develop leadership talent across all hotel departments.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and service excellence.
- Drive employee engagement through recognition, coaching, and a positive work environment.
- Ensure training and succession plans are in place to support long-term growth.
Owner, Brand, and Community Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison between hotel ownership and IHG corporate teams.
- Communicate performance updates, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to ownership groups.
- Represent the hotel in the local business community, building partnerships and brand awareness.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in hotel senior leadership roles, with at least 2 years as a GM preferred.
- Strong background in full-service hotel operations, including F&B and rooms division.
- Proven success managing financial performance and driving commercial strategies.
- Deep understanding of IHG systems (Opera, Merlin, Concerto, HeartBeat, STR reports).
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field strongly preferred.
