The West Central Illinois Aging and Disability Resource Center is currently hiring a part time front desk receptionist to work in our Information and Assistance (I&A) Office. Under the direction of the manager of I&A, the receptionist serves as our clients’ first point of contact, and aids in managing their visit or phone call in a personalized, friendly, and inviting manner.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and building visitors warmly and ask how to help;
- Transfer calls;
- Relay verbal messages;
- Call the appropriate person requested by the caller;
- Schedule or cancel appointments;
- Answer caller's questions;
- Handle in person clients as they exit ensuring all needs are met;
- Maintain office cleanliness and organization;
- Maintain compliance highest level of confidentiality of all client/agency information and communication;
- Follow protocols and policies while providing excellent customer service;
- Perform other clerical duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Good computer skills are required; must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be open to learning other applicable software systems as necessary;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Customer Service Skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities;
- Ability to maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor in all interactions with clients and visitors;
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.35 - $19.59 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
