Hourly Rate: $16.25
Job Description: Under general supervision, will work with developmentally delayed adult females in a group home setting. Provide training in activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, other personal hygiene, feeding, toileting, transferring and other similar tasks. Staff will also provide community based social skills. Completes household care, such as, meal preparation, clothes laundering, bed making, housecleaning, simple home repair, yard care, and other similar tasks. Will help with medical appointments, assisting with therapeutic exercises, and assisting with or supervising self-administration of medication or proxy care. Provides daily documentation; individual will need to have computer and typing skills.
Job Schedule: Will work 29 hours per week. Hours for this position will wary and may include night shift/holiday work. Examples of shifts will be given at interview.
Competencies: Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior; ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills; ability to work flexible hours; ability to participate in supportive guidance. Must be proficient with computers.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years old to apply. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record with less than 6 points. CNA certification preferred. 6 months of social service experience. Must be able to lift with no restrictions for client care. Experience with home visiting and/or working with the developmentally delayed population preferred but not required.
