Interior Plant Care Technician - Phoenix Office

The Plant Care Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and care of a variety of plants onsite in our valued clients homes and businesses. This includes ensuring that a variety of plants are properly cared for, watered, trimmed/pruned, rotated and fertilized. Technicians are also responsible for maintaining and refreshing the appearance of plants and potting. Technicians receive continued support from our highly knowledgeable and experienced supervisor/trainer.
The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term position, is self-motivated and knowledgeable about plants with an eye for excellence and attention to detail. Candidates should be comfortable, happily interacting with our customers while providing exceptional plant care and exceptional customer service with a commitment to excellence.
Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. The job requires a significant amount of drive time navigating around the Phoenix Metro area on the prescribed daily routes. Our plant care routes are structured on a consistent weekly schedule. We are looking for a person that can take instruction, adaptable to changing conditions, team oriented, giving with a servant’s heart, reliable, punctual, and able to keep a consistent schedule for the plant’s health as well as for our customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Drive from Maintenance Office to the customer’s location in company provided vehicle with the necessary tools and supplies for the daily route
- Monitor and inspect plants and pots to ensure they are in good health and working order
- Water, trim/prune, clean and dust, rotate, and apply fertilizer as needed
- Interact with supervisors to communicate if and when new plants or arrangements are needed
- Be able to describe our services to customers and the importance of our plant care regimen
- Follow safety procedures and regulations when handling hazardous materials
- Keep records of plant inventory, health, and log maintenance activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; horticulture certification preferred but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Knowledge and experience in plant care or landscaping
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
- Be reliable, punctual, and committed to good attendance
Starting at $17+/hour based on experience with pay increase after probationary period and bonus structure. Accrued sick time. Vacation time earned after one year.
