Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and positive attitude
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Communicate clearly with guests about wait times and seating options, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house area
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to enhance guest relations
- Support other hospitality functions such as assisting servers or hosting special events when needed
Skills
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus
- Familiarity with serving, guest relations, and phone etiquette to ensure seamless interactions
