Tomah Pharmacy is seeking a Full-Time Staff Pharmacist at our Tomah, WI location. This position has the opportunity to have an emphasis in clinical work including MTM, managing transitions of care and our patient adherence programs if the candidate has interest and/or experience and credentials.
A person in this position will be key in providing outstanding and reliable service to the greater Tomah community. Dependability and attention to detail is of the utmost importance in this role. This position is essential to the operations of the Pharmacy. Equally important is a desire to provide exceptional customer service and communication to our patients. The successful candidates will be self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to motivate and inspire co-workers.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide support to the pharmacy staff in the processing of prescriptions
- Prepare medications for home delivery.
- Verify incoming prescription information
- Accurately prepare patient prescriptions for dispensing
- Inventory management
- Provide patient consultation
- Provide immunizations to the community.
Qualifications include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Accurate typing and computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Certification to administer vaccinations in the state of Wisconsin
Working Conditions include:
- Physical requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers.
- Ability to reach down to the floor and up to higher shelves to retrieve medications, and have the manual dexterity to handle small tablets and capsules, and to remove bottle caps.
- Walking and standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours) is often necessary.
Pay will depend on experience and/or qualifications
